About Stan
Stan was a racing prodigy who at the age of 10 won the ACME National Championships. By the age of 13 Stan had compiled an impressive racing resume. At fifteen-years-old he was ranked #5 in the USA's Junior National and #14 in the world by his senior class at Michigan State. Stan began his collegiate racing career as team captain and raced for three years at Mississippi State before moving on to Michigan. While at Michigan he earned national honors for the state championship; the state championship team, he was joined by fellow American star, Jimmy White, to finish third behind Johnny and Joe. Before the 1966 ACME season started Stan took over team captain duties for a number of races. By September, it was clear that Stan's competitive edge was beginning to show. The next year he took his team to the final round of the championship for the second year in a row. At the age of nineteen Stan was ready to represent the USA in the Summer Olympics in Las Vegas.
Stan's time as a junior on Michigan's team for the 1996 Olympics was spent at the ACME level in both the Junior and Senior level. He appeared in two Grand Prix in 1996. He was a strong favorite for gold during the junior Grand Prix. But by the age of 21 Stan had become accustomed to winning, and he was still considered a strong favorite to win gold. In the summer
